Area of expertise
The CES is supported financially by Génome Québec and the MEI since 2002. Its mandate is to support large-scale research initiatives in genomics as well as the Canadian scientific community. It also offers services to the private sector. The service activities are ensured by more than 500 internal SOPs and 5 manufacturer certifications (CSPro Illumina, Agena, CSP Agilent et PacBio) and is currently working towards obtaining an ISO15189 accreditation.
Services offered
The CES offers services for experimental design, DNA and RNA extraction, sequencing, genotyping, gene expression, epigenomics and bioinformatics on a variety of technology platforms and operates on a cost-recovery mode.
