The Benefits of High Intensity Interval Training (Eléonor Riesco Research Team (CDRV, FASAPUS))

Few elderly women are physically active enough while this population has a high prevalence of abdominal obesity, the most damaging to health.

That’s what motivated Dr. Riesco’s team at the Faculty of Science of Physical Activity at the University of Sherbrooke, to test the effectiveness of a training method that these women might find easier to adopt. This method is high intensity interval training.
